On 20 June, during his official visit to Poland, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, held a meeting with the marshals (speakers) of the Sejm and Senate - Marek Kuchciński and Stanisław Karczewski - in the Palace on the Isle.

The official visit of President Xi Jinping is the first state visit of the Chinese leader to Poland in 12 years. The main themes of the visit include the opening of the Chinese market to Polish products and the development of trade and infrastructure investments.

One of the meetings with the participation of the President of the People’s Republic of China took place in the Salle de Salomon in the Palace on the Isle. During the meeting, he and the marshals (speakers) of the Sejm and Senate discussed the expansion of economic cooperation between Poland and China, and the development of cultural and scientific cooperation as well as tourism, "which is important in the context of the increasingly practical nature of the Polish-Chinese cooperation" - said the statement issued on the website of the Senate.

After the meeting, President Xi Jinping left an entry in the guestbook of the Royal Łazienki.

Earlier, the Royal Łazienki hosted Chairman He Wenbo and members of the board of directors of China Minmetals Corporation - one of the Museum’s patrons.
