"From Strangers to Neighbours. Encounters between Poland and Ireland" - is the title of an exhibition prepared by the Embassy of Ireland, featuring a selection of stories linking Poland and Ireland throughout the centuries. The exhibition will be on display in the Open-Air Gallery in Agrykoli Street.
Poles and Irish are often said to be like kindred spirits - two nations whose countries, though separated by a considerable distance and having different experiences in the history of Europe, have a lot in common. The exhibition highlights the fact that many chapters of the joint history of both nations have seen figures of Poland and Ireland crossing paths.
- Over the latest decades, Polish and Irish citizens and their countries established close and lasting relations. Today, Ireland is home to a small Polish community which is welcome in our country - stressed the Embassy of Ireland, organiser of the exhibition.
The Royal Łazienki Museum is the partner of the exhibition.
