"Admission Free November" at the Royal Łazienki. Where the History Happens...
Come and enjoy the "Admission Free November" event, during which you will have the opportunity to take tours of the Royal Łazienki without paying entry fees. Numerous attractions under the slogan "Where the History Happens" are proposed to visitors – including family workshops, classes in the moulding shop, displays of historical costumes, group singing, as well as museum lessons.
"Admission Free November" in Royal Residences
This will be the sixth time that Royal Residences, i.e. The Wawel Royal Castle, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów, and the Royal Łazienki Museum, invite visitors to the "Admission Free November".
Paintings from the collections of the Kościuszko Foundation in New York
Three outstanding paintings from the collections of the Kościuszko Foundation in New York – "Kościuszko in West Point" by Bolesław Jan Czedekowski, "Light Cavalry Lisowczycy" by Józef Brandt as well as "Gamrat and Stańczyk" by Jan Matejko – will be presented at the Royal Łazienki.
Exhibition of One Painting. "Portrait of a Patrician Family"
From 4 August to 30 November 2017, the Exhibition of One Painting will feature a masterpiece, "Portrait of a Patrician Family" by Abraham van den Tempel. The painting comes from the collection of Hamburger Kunsthalle, one of the largest public art museums in Germany.
First artistic season of the Polish Royal Opera
Requiem in D minor by W. A. Mozart, performed in the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, will inaugurate the artistic season of the Polish Chamber Opera on 2 November 2017 r. A day later, the first stage premiere of "Dziady – Widma" (Forefathers’ Eve – Phantoms) will be performed in the Royal Theatre of the Royal Łazienki.
Exhibition of paintings from the Kościuszko Foundation
On 19 October 2017, at the Palace on the Isle – with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture, Piotr Gliński – the exhibition of one painting was opened, featuring works from the Kościuszko Foundation in New York.
Jan Bogumił Plersch. Works by the royal painter on exhibition in the Royal Łazienki
We invite visitors to see an exhibition devoted to Jan Bogumił Plersch. Works by the royal artist – filled with finesse, grace and fantasy – adorn the most important buildings of the Royal Łazienki. Their history will be presented at an exhibition held from 4 July to 30 November, organised on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the painter’s death.
New trees in the Royal gardens
Almost 40 trees will be planted in the Royal Łazienki gardens. They will consist of horse chestnuts, maples, oaks and ashes. The trees will replace 15 snags, removed following the decision of the Warsaw’s Conservator of Monuments.
Jazz in the Royal Łazienki
Join us for a remarkable musical event – four jazz concerts organized under the patronage of Grammy Award winner, Włodek Pawlik. Artists including Włodek Pawlik Trio, Mike Stern, Urszula Dudziak and Mika Urbaniak will perform in the Royal Łazienki.
"I – That is Who? The Poet and His Poem". New literary series
During monthly meetings, visitors will have a chance to listen to remarkable poetry and discuss poems with their authors, literature experts, actors and poetry enthusiasts.
The exhibition of the "Portrait of Margherita Gonzaga". See the famous work of art credited to Rubens
Dated to early 17th century, and only once shown publicly, the "Portrait of Margherita Gonzaga" will be on display at the Royal Łazienki. The work is credited to Peter Paul Rubens, one of the greatest artists of the Baroque era. There is a legend associated with the painting, which has been passed orally on to its successive owners.
General Mannerheim and Polish-Finnish Relations. A research conference
Polish and Finnish path to freedom, threats from the Bolshevik Russia and Nazi Gernamny, and the fate of Marshal GustafMannerheim – these will be the main topics of the research conference to be attended by outstanding historians and international experts. We invite you to the Palace on the Isle on 16 October 2017. Entry is free.
ARRE conference at the Royal Łazienki
Several dozen experts from Austria, Denmark, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Hungary, Italy, China and Poland took part in a meeting of the Association of European Royal Residences ARRE, which was held at the Royal Łazienki Museum from 21 to 22 September 2017.

Prince William and Duchess Kate on reception in Royal Łazienki
During their first official visit to Poland, the Prince and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Royal Łazienki. On 17 July 2017, a reception was held at the Old Orangery to celebrate the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.
The oldest trees of the Royal Łazienki
European ash, which grows in the Romantic Garden near the Belvedere Pond, is likely the oldest tree in the Royal Łazienki. Its age is estimated at 200 years. The European larch and pedunculate oak trees are equally ancient.
Art pieces from Royal Łazienki on exhibition in Vienna
Exhibits from four Polish museums, including the Royal Łazienki, are displayed in the Austrian Belvedere Museum in Vienna, at an exhibition devoted to King John III Sobieski. The exhibition is a tribute to the Polish ruler, who left a profound mark on the history of Vienna.
2017 Chopin Concerts. Recitals every Sunday
Feel invited to the 58th Season of Chopin Concerts in the Royal Łazienki. Recitals at the foot of the Monument to Chopin will be held every Sunday at 12.00 and 16.00. Hear pianists of worldwide renown, including outstanding musicians of the younger generation.
Cinema in the Royal Łazienki. My Nikifor, Goya's Ghosts, Great Expectations
We invite visitors to free admission film screenings, which will take place in the Amphitheatre in July, August and September. Eight popular films from European and American cinematography will be featured.
