The Royal Łazienki allow you to feel that you are participating in a "living history". However, their history is not only that of the buildings and gardens which surround them. The Royal Łazienki have also become an integral part of Poland’s historical background, having borne witness to events in which they actively participated. The scenery changes like the seasons of the year, the weather, the light, the colours and the scents carried by the wind. The spirit of this extraordinary place (genius loci) has been formed by its architecture and art, the past and the present, people and nature - and has contributed to making the Łazienki so much more than just picturesque gardens.
