We invite you to the seminar dedicated to corporate art collections, which accompanies the "Connection" exhibition in the Open-Air Gallery of the Royal Łazienki Museum. The project is realised together with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the framework of the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The discussion which will take place in the Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery will focus on the significance of corporate collections, reasons for businesses and institutes to start an art collection, relation between corporate collections and artists and galleries, and will give some advices for those who are interested in starting a corporate collection. 

Guest speaker will be Dr. Arnold Witte, the director of  art history studies at The Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome. Dr. Arnold Witte is leading a research project on art market dynamics, corporate strategies, public support for the arts and corporate collections as emerging heritage

The lecture will be followed by a presentation by Hanna Wróblewska, director of Zachęta National Gallery of Art. In her talk she will examine the Polish position on corporate collections. The seminar will end with a panel discussion moderated by Pieter van Oss, journalist for the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad, living and working in Poland.

The seminar will be conducted in the English language. Polish translation will be provided.
