Almost 40 trees will be planted in the Royal Łazienki Gardens. They will consist of horse chestnuts, maples, oaks and ashes. The trees will replace 15 snags, removed following the decision of the Warsaw’s Conservator of Monuments.

We invite visitors to see an exhibition devoted to Jan Bogumił Plersch. Works by the royal artist – filled with finesse, grace and fantasy – adorn the most important buildings of the Royal Łazienki. Their history will be presented at an exhibition held from 4 July to 3 December, organised on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the painter’s death.

Come and enjoy the "Admission Free November" event, during which you will have the opportunity to take tours of the Royal Łazienki without paying entry fees. Numerous attractions under the slogan "Where the History Happens" are proposed to visitors – including family workshops, classes in the moulding shop, displays of historical costumes, group singing, as well as museum lessons.

This will be the sixth time that Royal Residences, i.e. The Wawel Royal Castle, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów, and the Royal Łazienki Museum, invite visitors to the "Admission Free November".

From 4 August to 30 November 2017, the Exhibition of One Painting will feature a masterpiece, "Portrait of a Patrician Family" by Abraham van den Tempel. The painting comes from the collection of Hamburger Kunsthalle, one of the largest public art museums in Germany.

Requiem in D minor by W. A. Mozart, performed in the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, will inaugurate the artistic season of the Polish Chamber Opera on 2 November 2017 r. A day later, the first stage premiere of "Dziady – Widma" (Forefathers’ Eve – Phantoms) will be performed in the Royal Theatre of the Royal Łazienki.

On 19 October 2017, at the Palace on the Isle – with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture, Piotr Gliński – the exhibition of one painting was opened, featuring works from the Kościuszko Foundation in New York.

Dated to early 17th century, and only once shown publicly, the "Portrait of Margherita Gonzaga" will be on display at the Royal Łazienki. The work is credited to Peter Paul Rubens, one of the greatest artists of the Baroque era. There is a legend associated with the painting, which has been passed orally on to its successive owners.

Polish and Finnish path to freedom, threats from the Bolshevik Russia and Nazi Gernamny, and the fate of Marshal Gustaf Mannerheim – these will be the main topics of the research conference to be attended by outstanding historians and international experts. We invite you to the Palace on the Isle on 16 October 2017. Entry is free.

Several dozen experts from Austria, Denmark, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Hungary, Italy, China and Poland took part in a meeting of the Association of European Royal Residences ARRE, which was held at the Royal Łazienki Museum from 21 to 22 September 2017.

During their first official visit to Poland, the Prince and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Royal Łazienki. On 17 July 2017, a reception was held at the Old Orangery to celebrate the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

Exhibits from four Polish museums, including the Royal Łazienki, are displayed in the Austrian Belvedere Museum in Vienna, at an exhibition devoted to King John III Sobieski. The exhibition is a tribute to the Polish ruler, who left a profound mark on the history of Vienna.

Feel invited to the 58th Season of Chopin Concerts in the Royal Łazienki. Recitals at the foot of the Monument to Chopin will be held every Sunday at 12.00 and 16.00. Hear pianists of worldwide renown, including outstanding musicians of the younger generation.

We invite visitors to free admission film screenings, which will take place in the Amphitheatre in July, August and September. Eight popular films from European and American cinematography will be featured.

Polish premiere of Antonio Vivaldi’s opera "Farnace", a staging of the "Semiramide riconosciuta" opera by Neapolitan composer Leonardo Vinci and concerts featuring music of the most outstanding masters of the European Baroque will be the main attractions of the 3rd Dramma per Musica Festival of Baroque Operas held at the Royal Łazienki between 2 and 17 September 2017. 

During the holidays, you may enjoy presentations on how plaster casts are made in the Royal Moulding Shop. Our educators will reveal to the participants the secrets of the craft of an 18th century artist and explain why plaster casts were as popular as they were in the collection of Stanisław August.

From 1 May to 30 July 2017, in the Palace on the Isle, visitors are invited to contemplate ‘Ariadne Abandoned by Theseus’, a masterpiece by Angelica Kauffmann, one of the most prominent painters of the 18th century. The painting comes from the Old Masters Picture Gallery in Dresden, home to one of the largest collections of European painting art in the world.
