Valuable objects from Polish museums: medals, seals, coins, documents and prints will be displayed from 13 May as part of the "Treasures of the Warsaw Mint 1766-1868" exhibition in the Old Orangery. Many of the displayed objects are unique items, which have not been previously made available to the public.

The Norwegian Embassy and its guests marked the Norwegian Constitution Day - the most colourful and joyful event in the country of the fjords - with a reception in the Old Orangery. On 17 May, Norway celebrates the anniversary of the adoption by the state of the constitution in 1814.

The album about the history of the royal collection of paintings of Stanisław August was presented at a promotional event in the United Kingdom. The publication was showcased in The London Wallace Collection which houses the collections of the Seymour-Conway family.

A jazz concert by Grzech Piotrowski, a digital projection of Jan Bogumił Plersch’s paintings, and exhibitions in the Old Orangery and the Palace on the Isle drew crowds of visitors to the Royal Łazienki on the Night of Museums. We invite you to watch a photo report of this extraordinary event.

The baroque Dutch painter, Abraham Mignon, had strong ambitions to depict various flower compositions with maximal resemblance to reality. Today, he is considered one of the most prominent still life painters in the second half of the 17th century, and his paintings are displayed in major museums in the world.

Thousands of tulips in colours ranging from white to near-black will appear in spring in the Gardens of the Royal Łazienki. In this way the Museum will remind its visitors of the tulipomania - the European fascination with those flowers, which originated in the Netherlands.

Several dozens people participated in public consultations on the "21st Century Garden" project, which took place on 10 May in the Officer Cadets School in the Royal Łazienki. Designers and experts answered numerous questions, including those regarding the impact of the investments on the environment.

The exhibition of the famous painting "Flowers in a Glass Vase" from the Mauritshuis Museum in the Hague, the colourful Dutch Flower Garden near the Old Orangery, the European Picnic and the "Connection" exhibition in the Open-Air Gallery - all these events are part of the Dutch Days in the Royal Łazienki, which are organised with the cooperation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The official opening of the Dutch Flower Garden and the private view of the exhibition of one painting - "Flowers in a Glass Vase” - inaugurated the Dutch Days in the Royal Łazienki on 28 April. Both events took place on the day when Dutch people celebrate the King’s Day.

You will be offered the possibility not only to listen to fragments of their works, but also to find out why they are not afraid to pose key questions of our times in their work.

The Old Orangery has regained its former excellence. As a result of the works conducted by conservators, the building looks and functions as it used to at the time of Stanisław August. The funds for the renovation which took place between 2012 and 2016 were provided from the Norway Grants and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

From April 1st to May 5th, the outdoor gallery of the Łazienki Królewski Museum will present 63 artworks originating from art collections of businesses and organizations in the Netherlands. The initiative for this exhibition was taken by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

In the course of renovation and conservation works conducted in the Old Orangery, a unique carpenter’s ruler - likely coming from around 1780 - was found. Although it is more than 230 years old, the tool has been preserved in a perfect state.

- We can call our systems democratic, but in reality we are not governed democratically - believes Pierre Ronsanvallon - a professor from Collège de France. The debate with the participation of this outstanding French intellectual took place on 6 April in the Palace on the Isle.

The Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery, one of the few surviving authentic eighteenth-century court theatres in Europe and the only one of its kind in Poland, is featured at the world’s biggest tourism fair, the ITB in Berlin, Germany, from 9 to 13 March.

On Saturday evening the Royal Łazienki Gardens were lighted up with magical illumination. Alleys were filled with thousands of people strolling with colourful lanterns. This is what happened during the 2016 Winter Evening of Light, which also featured atmospheric music and figures dressed in historical costumes. Strolls with lanterns, spectacular illuminations, concerts, and a presentation of historical costumes - these were the main attractions of the Winter Evening of Light in residencies which, together with the Royal Łazienki, participate in the "Gardens of Light" project. Those are: the Muskau Park of Prince Pückler in Bad Muskau, the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum in Saint Petersburg, the Prince Kung’s Mansion in Beijing, Château de Lunéville in France, and the Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød, Denmark.
