Debate on EU in the Royal Theatre. "Europe must wake up"
- My goal was to make a film that would get through to people and stun them. Europe must wake up and such a signal must come from the society - Annalisa Piras, the producer of the "The Great European Disaster Movie" said. The Polish premiere of the documentary as well as the accompanying debate on the future of EU took place in the Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery as part of the “European Wednesdays" organised by the Royal Łazienki and Professor Bronisław Geremek Foundation Centre.

The Dutch Garden is being created in the Royal Łazienki
Hundreds of tulips, narcissus, daffodils, then roses, hydrangeas and perennial plants will bloom in spring in the Orangery Garden of the Royal Łazienki. The plants will form the so-called Dutch Garden which has been designed by Dutchman Niek Roozen. - We want to enrich the surroundings of the Old Orangery by adding flowers, perennial plants and shrubs. We believe that, in spring, this place will reveal all its beauty which will last until late autumn - Barbara Werner, Chief Gardener in the Royal Łazienki, says.

New splendour of the Myślewicki Palace - from 7 October
The results of a few months’ work by specialists, who made it possible to uncover historical polychromes, can be admired in the Myślewicki Palace already from 7 October. - Following the conservation work the Palace gained new splendour to reflect its 18th century character - said Piotr Zambrzycki, Chief Conservator of Royal Łazienki.

Handel resounded in Łazienki. The 1st Festival of Baroque Operas ended
Brilliant baroque operas, including "Agrippina" and "Orlando" were presented to the guests of the 1st Festival of Baroque Operas "Dramma per Musica", which took place in the Royal Theatre in the Royal Łazienki until 20 September. There were also atmospheric concerts and recitals. Nearly 100 artists, including nearly 40 vocalists, performed for audiences of the Festival.

Political scientists, theoreticians and practitioners of international relations and specialists in Russia and Ukraine took part in a two-day conference "Europe-Russia-Ukraine" in the Royal Łazienki. Great refurbishment in Łazienki. The Palace on the Isle and its surroundings have gained beauty
The interiors of the Palace on the Isle have been renovated to appear as they did when Stanisław August was looking at them, historic polychromes have been uncovered in the Myślewicki Palace, the alleys in the historic gardens have been modernised and the Museum’s website enhanced – all this work has been carried out in the Royal Łazienki over the last three years thanks to a project co-financed from EU funds.

“Out of the Darkness” show by Leszek Mądzik, that is a play of lights and fleeting beauty of nature
The play of lights and music, which revealed the fleeting beauty of the Royal Łazienki’s nature, could be watched on Saturday and on Sunday evening in front of the Palace of the Isle during “Out of the Darkness” jubilee shows. The production was set by Leszek Mądzik – a brilliant director and stage designer who, 45 years ago, founded the Fine Arts Stage at the Catholic University of Lublin.

Perception of the Royal Łazienki in a survey carried out by sociologists
The modernization of the Museum buildings and conservation of monuments as well as the enhancement of the cultural offer are changes which appealed the most to visitors of the Royal Łazienki – these are the findings of a survey conducted by sociologists in July in connection with the Sphere of Silence Festival. Most respondents pointed out at relaxation and walking as the main reasons for a visit to Łazienki.

Festival of Light already opened – The Chinese Garden illuminated with colourful lanterns
The Festival of Light in the Royal Łazienki already opened! Visitors are invited to Oriental Concerts, the performance of the Beijing Opera, the shows of the Chinese calligraphy and tea making ceremony and also romantic strolls among colourful lanterns in the Chinese Garden. The Festival will last until 30 August when the Stage on Water will host the “Out of The Darkness” shows produced by Leszek Mądzik.
