From 1 May to 30 July 2017, in the Palace on the Isle, visitors are invited to contemplate ‘Ariadne Abandoned by Theseus’, a masterpiece by Angelica Kauffmann, one of the most prominent painters of the 18th century. The painting comes from the Old Masters Picture Gallery in Dresden, home to one of the largest collections of European painting art in the world.

Take the opportunity to visit the Royal Łazienki for free on 19 July. The event is organised on the occasion of the #PalaceDay, celebrated in Europe on that day. It is a social media campaign promoted by the Association of European Royal Residences (ARRE), during which visitors are encouraged to share on the Internet their memories from visits to European museums.

We invite visitors to the international Sphere of Silence Festival. On Saturdays in July, more than 100 concerts will take place on the open-air garden stages in the Royal Łazienki. The featured bands will include Caravana Banda, Tęgie Chłopy, Duan i Treblers and TangoPuro. Admission to all events is free.

Tens of experts on heritage protection participated in workshops which took place on 28 June 2017 in the Royal Łazienki. The Youth Forum discussed how historical gardens are maintained, and talked about the conservation of exhibits from the Royal Sculpture Gallery in the Old Orangery. To commemorate the event, an oak was planted in the Romantic Garden.

One of the most outstanding painters of the 18th century, admired in European capitals, has earned the name of the "Female Raphael of Art". Emperors and kings, including Stanisław August, were among her clients. Two paintings by the famous Swiss artist were part of his collection.

Mary Chee Bee Kiang, who accompanied the President of Singapore during his official visit to Poland, visited the Royal Łazienki on 23 May 2017.

Visitors are invited to the Royal Łazienki for the Night of Museums on 20 May 2017. During several evening hours, it will be possible to see the Royal Łazienki in an interesting, nocturnal perspective. Numerous attractions await visitors, including a concert by the Motion Trio band.

"Royal Łazienki" – it is the name of the new tulip cultivated in the Netherlands for the Royal Łazienki, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The official baptism took place on 12 May 2017 in the Palace on the Isle.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who paid an official visit to Poland, visited the Royal Łazienki together with President Andrzej Duda. An official breakfast was held in the Old Orangery on 5 May 2017.

The display of the painting "Ariadne Abandoned by Theseus", by Angelica Kauffmann, initiated the German Season in the Royal Łazienki. A preview of the Exhibition of One Painting took place on 1 May 2017 in the Palace on the Isle.

The Royal Łazienki has received a prize in the "Accessibility Leader" contest for the adaptation of the Old Orangery to the needs of people with disabilities. The official awarding ceremony took place on 27 April 2017 in the Presidential Palace.

The air in the Royal Łazienki is considerably cleaner than in other parts of the capital, according to a research conducted by the team of Professor Stanisław Gawroński - a phytotechnologist from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The numerous trees form a barrier against pollution.

This year, in the Royal gardens, two tawny owls hatched inside a hollow in an old alder tree. This bird species is under strict protection.

From 1 April to 28 April 2017, the Open-Air Gallery in the Royal Łazienki at Al. Ujazdowskie in Warsaw will house poetry. Works by several European poets will be displayed on exhibit panels as a part of "Poems in the City" project.

The Royal Łazienki Museum has succeeded in obtaining funding for conservation and renovation works to be carried out in the White Pavilion and the Water Tower. The official signing of the agreement took place in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage on 6 March 2017.
