The famous work "La serva padrona” (“The Servant Turned Mistress”) by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, telling a funny story of a wealthy bachelor terrorized by a maid, will be available to see in February in the Royal Łazienki. The show, performed as a marionette opera, will be prepared by the Warsaw Chamber Opera as part of the "Baroque in the Royal Theatre" series. Tickets are for sale at the ticket offices of the Museum and the Warsaw Chamber Opera.

We invite our visitors on 27 February to the Winter Evening of Light, during which it will be possible to see the Royal Łazienki in extraordinary lighting. The evening walk with lanterns around the historic gardens will be concluded by an atmospheric concert in front of the Palace on the Isle. The guests will be accompanied by figures dressed in colourful historical costumes.

How do young graphic artists perceive William Shakespeare and his work? The question has been answered through their posters, which will be available to see in the Open-Air Gallery of the Royal Łazienki by Aleje Ujazdowskie, from 27 January to 23 February. The posters are works submitted to the contest entitled “Shakespeare ∞”. 

A marble bust of the ancient goddess Diana which was lost during World War II has returned to the Royal Łazienki. The 18th century sculpture, which was found in a Vienna auction house, has been officially entrusted to the Museum by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage - Professor Piotr Gliński. Diana is beautiful. It is remarkable that this work of art is with us again - said Professor Gliński during the press conference.

The greatest asset of the Royal Łazienki is its brand - strongly associated with positive emotions. Over the last five years, Łazienki has implemented a strategy which has ensured it multidimensional development and engaged the employees in pursuing its goals.

You are invited to concerts, opera and ballet performances as part of the “Baroque in the Royal Theatre” series by Warsaw Chamber Opera, which will be presented until the end of May 2016 in the Royal Łazienki. - We want Warsaw to become a centre of baroque art. Welcome to the Royal Łazienki gardens, where after dark you can enjoy Christmas and New Year illumination. It accompanies the visitors from the gate at Agrykola street along Chińska avenue, to the gate on Gagarin street.

Michail Piotrowski, the director of the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg and Tadeusz Zielniewicz, the director of the Royal Łazienki Museum in Warsaw, have inaugurated an exhibition entitled “Catherine II and Stanisław August. Two Enlightened Monarchs in Eastern Europe” in the Russian Hermitage Museum. Among other things the exhibition is composed of works of art from the Royal Collection of Paintings.

Interest in this year's campaign "Free November" surpassed all expectations. More than 250,000 people visited last month Wawel Royal Castle, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Palace Museum, King John III in Wilanow and the Royal Baths Museum. Great interest aroused also museum lessons organized by four royal residences - more than 13,000 students benefited from free activities.

The Royal Łazienki has become a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), which has operated as a non-governmental organization for several dozen years gathering 35 thousand people around the world. The Polish National Committee of ICOM is seated in King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów.

Warsaw is among Europe’s top five cities to visit before Christmas, according to the British daily "The Sun". One of the tourist attractions in the city listed by the newspaper is the Royal Łazienki Museum and its "stunning" Palace on the Isle.

There was no lack of visitors during the first edition of "The Long Night of the Palace on the Isle", which took place as part of the "Admission Free November". Throughout the event it was possible to watch The Royal Gallery of Paintings, illuminated by atmospheric lighting, and to become familiar with the history of one of the most prized Polish monuments. 

Royal Łazienki with its extensive gardens appeared in a short film promoting Warsaw as a city seeking the “Green Capital of Europe” title in 2018. The spot featured also the Śródmieście district, the Skaryszewski Park, Czajka sewage treatment plant and the wild banks of the Vistula river. You are invited to watch it.

Over 100 thousand visitors have visited the Wawel Royal Castle, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów and the Royal ‎Łazienki Museum in the first two weeks of "Free November". The action of admission-free touring continues until the end of the month - so it is a good idea to take the opportunity to visit the royal residences.

The most prominent royal residencies in Poland in contemporary and historical pictures as well as unique, unpublished materials showing their architectural beauty - all this can be found in the "Rezydencje królewskie" (Royal Residencies) album published by BOSZ. The album gives readers an opportunity to explore the most important Polish monuments and to become acquainted with their history. 

A film about Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau, creator of the famous Park Muskau included on the World Heritage List, was shown in the Royal Łazienki, followed by a debate devoted to the works of the German visionary. According to Rolf Nikel, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany which organised the meeting in the Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery, the Park Muskau became our common heritage and a natural bridge between Poland and Germany.

Jazz, chamber and symphonic music concerts as well as screenings of films and exhibitions - these are some of the attractions of the 2nd Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Festival devoted to the achievements of the outstanding Polish pianist, composer, activist and statesman. The Festival will take place on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the master’s birthday, and the performing artists will come, among other things, from Australia, Switzerland, United States, Mallorca and Poland.

King Philippe of Belgium and Queen Mathilde, who paid an official visit to Poland, were hosted in the Royal Łazienki. In the Old Orangery, the royal couple gave a reception for the Polish presidential couple - Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda. Earlier, a concert was performed in the Royal Theatre.
